paintings of scenes of old Jaipur and Nawalgarh.
The Havelis : Located to the west of Bala Quila is a
group of six havelis called Aath Havelis. It is called so because initially
eight havelis were planned. The paintings may not be as good as others in
the town but the painting styles show the transition of technical
enhancement in painting over the decades.
Other havelis you can see here are Muraka Haveli, Hem Raj Kulwal Haveli,
Khedwal Bhawan, Bhaton ki Haveli, Parsurampura Haveli and many more.
Ganga Mai Temple : The temple, built by Chhauchharia
merchants, is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and is worth seeing for the fine
mirror work in the inner sanctum. Also remarkable are the paintings above
the mandapa.
