The
north western state of India, Rajasthan, is a land of dry and hot climate.
Due to its varied topography, the climate of Rajasthan greatly varies
throughout the state. Where the western parts of Rajasthan are comparatively
dry and infertile, the southwestern part of the state, is hilly and fertile
and the southern part of the state has been blessed with River Luni and
River Chambal with its tributaries. The area of the Thar Desert called the
Great Indian Desert is barren and hot. The state enjoys a tropical desert
climate. October to February are quite chilly with winters and summers are
extremely hot with the scorching and prickling heat of sun. Scanty rainfall
in the state is a major factor for dryness. | Months | Maximum Temperature | Minimum Temperature |
